AI chat shortcuts
Slash commands, @ mentions, and stopping a reply — quick ways to steer the assistant without hunting through menus.
The chat panel supports a few keyboard-first shortcuts so power users can move fast: clear a tab, switch Ask / Plan / Agent mode, attach context with @, or stop a long answer mid-stream.

Script to read
In this short clip I want to show you three small things in Leadara’s AI chat that save a lot of clicking.
First: slash commands. I click in the box and type only the word slash then help and hit Enter — nothing goes to the model; instead a little card pops up listing what you can type: slash clear to wipe this tab’s conversation, slash ask, slash plan, or slash agent to jump modes for your next message. I’ll hit slash plan, send a normal sentence after that, and you’ll see the footer mode flip without me opening the dropdown.
Second: at-mentions. I type the at symbol and a picker opens over my workspace — segments, journeys, funnels, templates. I pick one, it pins as a chip above the input, and the assistant treats it like assigned reading for that turn. Dragging a card from the dashboard onto the chat does the same thing if I’m a mouse person.
Third: stop. I ask something heavy on purpose… watch the send button turn into a square stop while it streams. One click and the answer cuts off — useful when I realise I asked the wrong question or the model is wandering. That’s it — three habits, faster work.
Slash commands
Type the command as the entire line (then Enter). It is handled in the app and is not sent to the model.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/help or /? | Shows a reminder of shortcuts (toast). |
/clear, /reset, or /new | Clears this tab’s conversation and starts a fresh thread id. |
/ask, /plan, or /agent | Sets Ask, Plan, or Agent mode for the next message (same as the mode picker). |
Anything else that starts with / is sent to the assistant as a normal message.
@ mentions
- Type
@in the prompt to open the entity picker (segments, journeys, funnels, popups, templates, users). - Drag an entity card from the dashboard onto the chat panel to attach it the same way.
- References appear as chips above the input; remove a chip before sending if you no longer want that context.
Stop streaming
While a reply is generating, the submit control becomes stop (square icon). Click it to cancel the stream. Your tab and server history stay intact; you simply stop that turn.
