Event Catalog
Your tracking plan — the tidy list of events you can build journeys and segments on, kept current automatically.
The event catalog is your tracking plan: one clean list of every event Leadara knows about in your workspace. It fills itself in as your site and app send data, and it's what powers the event pickers in journeys and audiences — so those menus stay short, meaningful, and free of typos.

Hey everyone — in this video I want to show you the event catalog in Leadara. Think of it as your tracking plan: the master list of the things people do in your product.
Let me open it from the Events page — Event catalog up in the corner. Here's the list. Every event we've ever received is already here, with usage counts and when we last saw it. New ones arrive automatically as unplanned — you don't have to do anything for ingestion to keep working.
When I'm ready to tidy up, I flip Planned on for the events that matter to our team. That marks them as part of our official vocabulary. I can flip it off again anytime — the event stays collected, it just moves back to unplanned.
This one has an ugly machine name, so I'll click Edit and give it a friendly display name and a short description. Save.
See Usable as trigger on the right? When it's on, this event shows up in journey and audience pickers. Debug noise? Leave it unplanned or turn the trigger switch off — either way we still collect it.
You can also hit Add to plan before launch day if you know the exact event name your developers will send.
That's the catalog — optional, self-updating, and invisible until you want to use it. See you in the next one.
What you can do
- See every event your workspace has received, with usage counts and when each was last seen
- Mark events Planned or leave them Unplanned — purely organizational; ingestion never stops
- Give events friendly display names and descriptions so your team shares one vocabulary
- Toggle Usable as trigger to control which events appear in journey and audience pickers
- Add an event to your plan ahead of time so journeys are ready on launch day
- Mark old events Deprecated to hide them without losing their history
How it works
New events are added to the catalog automatically the first time they arrive — as unplanned. You never have to register them to keep collecting data. Flip Planned on when you want an event in your official tracking plan; flip it off to move it back to unplanned.
If you never open this page, nothing changes: events still ingest, still appear in pickers (when Usable as trigger is on), and journeys work exactly as before.
The journey and audience event pickers read from this catalog, showing only events marked Usable as trigger and not deprecated.
Tips
- Use the display name for how a marketer would say it ("Signed up"), and keep the underlying event name exactly as your developers send it.
- Turn off Usable as trigger for debug events so they don't clutter journey builders — you don't have to unplan them.
- Watch for Unplanned badges on the Events page to catch typos and drift (
