Audiences (Segments)
Build rule-based audiences from traits, events, lead scores, and lists — then target journeys to them.
Audiences (segments) are how you group people in Leadara — by what they did, who they are, or how they score — and then use those groups in journeys.

Hey — in this video I want to show you how audiences work in Leadara. The builder now reads like plain sentences, not a technical tree.
I'm in the dashboard under Audiences. The fastest way to start is Start from template — that opens pre-built audiences you can tweak. For a blank slate, use the dropdown and pick Blank audience.
Okay, the editor opens. At the top you see the live count and Save stays visible as you scroll. I'll name this "Trial signups" and click Add filter → Did something, then pick the signup_completed event. Watch the count update.
Need more precision? Add filter again — maybe Joined recently for the last 30 days. Both lines must match because they're combined with AND. If you need "either/or", hit Add OR group.
When I'm happy, Save. Leadara rebuilds membership automatically.
Back on the list, each card shows size and shortcuts. Open View users to see members, or attach the audience to a Segment trigger in a journey.
That's audiences — start from a template, add sentence-style filters, check the count, use it in journeys.
What you can do
- Start from a template — the default path for new audiences
- Add filters in plain language: did something, has a trait, profile field, lifecycle stage, joined recently, manual list, or lead score
- Combine filters with AND by default; use OR groups when you need "match any of these"
- See an estimated audience size while you edit
- View members, export CSV, and attach audiences to journey triggers
How it works
- Pick a template or blank audience, then add sentence-style conditions.
- Leadara evaluates rules against your workspace users and stores membership.
- Journeys and exports read from the same evaluation logic.
Membership updates when you save an audience. For very large workspaces, use Refresh on the audience list if you need to force a rebuild.
Tips
- Prefer templates over blank audiences unless you know exactly what you need.
- Upload a manual list when you have emails or IDs from outside Leadara.
- Pair lead scoring audiences with lifecycle journeys for hot-lead follow-up.
