Journeys

Build multi-step campaigns with triggers, waits, messages, and branches — then activate when the flow is ready.

Journeys are how you automate follow-ups in Leadara: welcome SMS after signup, a wait, then email — or a segment-based newsletter. You design the flow on a canvas, connect your templates, and turn the journey Active when validation passes.

Hey — in this walkthrough I want to show you journeys in Leadara. I'm in the dashboard under Journeys, and you can start blank or pick Create from template — that's the fastest way to ship something real on day one.

Let me open the Welcome Series template… okay, the canvas loaded with a trigger, a wait, and an SMS step already wired. I'll click the SMS node and point it at our Welcome SMS template — you need that before activation, otherwise Leadara blocks you, which is intentional.

Now I'll drag an End node and connect it after the SMS so the path has a clear finish. When you're happy, hit Activate in the sidebar. If something's missing, you'll see the error right away instead of a silent failure later.

That's the loop: template or blank canvas → connect templates → activate. You can pause anytime without losing your draft.

What you can do

  • Start from a template (welcome, abandoned cart, re-engagement) or a blank journey
  • Trigger on events, segments, schedules, or a manual test run
  • Add Wait, SMS, Email, Web push, Bale, Telegram, and Popup steps
  • Branch with If conditions and end paths with Exit
  • Set entry and exit rules (how often someone can enter, when they leave)
  • View analytics per journey after people start flowing through

How activation works

Before a journey goes Active, Leadara checks that the graph is valid: at least one trigger, connected steps, and every message node linked to a real template (or Bale/Telegram chat + text). Fix anything flagged in the validation panel, save, then activate.

Paused journeys keep their design; activating again uses the same checks.

Templates vs. building from scratch

Use New journey → Create from template for proven flows. Templates are maintained in your workspace and copy nodes and edges into a new draft you can edit freely.

Tips

  • Connect segments and lead scoring at entry — scoring does not live inside the journey graph; it feeds who qualifies for segment triggers.
  • Test with a manual trigger and a small segment before turning on event-based entry at scale.
  • For Persian copy in SMS or email, preview templates in their own screens first, then select them on the journey node.

Next steps

Open Segments to define who should enter, or Events to see what your site is already sending into Leadara.
