AI Chat
Marketing and analytics AI assistant in the dashboard — ask about your workspace, explore metrics, and get answers that stream in real time.
The AI assistant is a first-class Chat hub in your dashboard — the same dual-sidebar layout as Analytics. Open it from the main sidebar, start a new conversation, or pick up a recent one from the list on the left. Ask about campaigns, segments, funnels, and live workspace metrics; answers stream word by word as the assistant works.

Hey everyone — in this short video I want to walk you through the AI assistant in Leadara. It's not a little slide-in panel anymore — it's a full Chat hub, right next to Analytics in the main sidebar. Let me click Chat here…
Okay, so you get the same layout you're used to from Analytics: the icon rail on the far left, and this second column with New chat at the top and Recents underneath. If I hover the main sidebar, it expands so the edges line up — same trick as Analytics.
I'll hit New chat. This is the empty state — a simple greeting and a big prompt box in the middle. Down in the footer I can pick which model to use for the next message. Let me ask something practical: "how many users visited in the last 7 days?"
Watch how the answer streams in — word by word, not all at once. And when the assistant needs real numbers from your workspace, it calls a read-only tool behind the scenes and folds the result into the reply. You're not approving anything here — it's just fetching data to answer you.
That first message also titles the conversation, and you can see it show up under Recents on the left. I'll click it — same thread, full history, prompt box fixed at the bottom. Refresh the page and everything's still here because conversations are saved to your workspace.
One more thing: hit Stop next to the input if a long answer is going somewhere you don't want. That's the Chat hub foundation — new chat, recents, streaming answers, and a model picker. Approvals, attachments, and the global keyboard shortcut are coming later.
What you can do
- Open the Chat hub from the main dashboard sidebar (dual-sidebar layout like Analytics).
- Start a new chat with a centered prompt, browse all conversations on the Chats page, or continue any thread from Recents.
- Ask questions about your audience, journeys, funnels, and analytics — answers stream in real time.
- Switch models from the prompt footer before you send the next message.
- Stop a reply mid-stream if you want to cut it short.
How it works
Navigation
The Chat hub uses the same shell as Analytics: a collapsed main sidebar (icon rail) that expands on hover, plus a dedicated chat column with New chat, Chats (full searchable list with timestamps), and a Recents shortcut list. Selecting any conversation opens the full thread in the main workspace.
Conversations
Each conversation is stored under your workspace. The title is generated automatically from your first message (truncated to a short label). Hover a recent chat and open the ⋯ menu to star it (starred chats stay at the top), rename it, or delete it from Recents.
Streaming and tools
Replies stream as the model generates them. When the assistant needs live data — user counts, segment sizes, recent events, workspace metrics — it uses read-only workspace tools. Results are woven into the answer; you do not need to approve read-only lookups.
Write actions (creating segments, templates, journeys, and similar) are not part of this foundation release. Those will return later with explicit approval cards.
Models
Use the model picker in the prompt footer to choose which model handles your next message. The list comes from your workspace's configured chat provider. You can use a fast economical model for quick questions and a stronger model for deeper analysis in the same thread.
Tips
- Start broad ("summarise my last 7 days") then drill down in the same conversation.
- Recents only shows conversations for your workspace — teammates with access see their own threads under the same hub.
- In Persian (RTL), the sub-sidebar and prompt layout follow logical spacing so the chat column and input stay comfortable on the right.
- If Recents looks empty on a fresh install, run a workspace seed or send your first message — demo conversations may already exist in seeded workspaces.
What's saved
| What | Where it lives | What survives |
|---|---|---|
| Conversation title and model choice | Your workspace, server-side | Refreshes, new browsers, same workspace |
| Message history (your prompts + assistant replies) | Your workspace, server-side | Same as above |
| Sidebar expand/collapse preference | This browser only | Page refresh on the same browser |
Coming later
These are intentionally out of scope for the first Chat hub release:
- Global Cmd / Ctrl + Shift + K slide-in panel from anywhere in the dashboard
- Multi-tab browser-style chat tabs
- @ references and file attachments
- Write tools with approval cards
- Slash commands and Ask / Plan / Agent modes
